Hollywood Poker Open Columbus starting on May 14 and 10 Featured Events await players

Ok, get ready for the final stop of Hollywood Poker Open Season 3, before the season ends with the M Resort Casino Spa in Las Vegas sponsored Championship Event.
Hollywood Poker Open Columbus will be hosted by Hollywood Casino, Columbus, Ohio and it run from May 14 to May 25. There are 10 HPO permitted “featured” events in a total of 32 scheduled events. The occasion will be also graced by HPO ambassador and 2003 World Series Poker Main Event winner Chris Moneymaker. Of course, the team from PokerNews Live will be in attendance to capture the action live from the Regional Main Event, and report in our blog live.
The Editor in Chief Donnie Peters of PokerNews said, “HPO Columbus is the last stop before the season ends and it offers players an opportunity to qualify for the Las Vegas Championship Event. It also boasts a guarantee of $100,000 prize pool and the prospect of playing with Chris Moneymaker the 2003 WSOP Main Event champion. So what else would you want?”
HPO Columbus was won by Joey Couden last year, who neutralized the 7-1 chip disadvantage before he took the top prize of $60,827. There were 126 entrants that the tournament attracted which was also a HPO record then, and also generated prize pool money worth $202,754. At that time it was a $1,800 buy-in for the Main Event, but the season-3 offers an affordable $1,115 buy-in which is cheaper and is likely to attract a larger field than the last season.
